How the work happens
Four layers work in order — only the right data, the right skills, a quality check, and then the right person.
Beat 1 · Least privilege
It descends a rules tree — and equips only the path that applies.
Firm rules sit at the top. Client rules narrow the scope. Each associate's preferences come last. As Arachne works on a task, it travels down the tree and lights exactly the rules that apply — Citation required, Bluebook format, Smith's email preference, Okafor's short closing. Sibling branches stay dark. The output document is shaped by precisely those equipped rules, nothing else.
Output — shaped by exactly those rules
Argument I: Undisputed material facts …
See Exhibit A at 3 — Bluebook citation (MSJ draft, p. 12) …
Okafor Dec. ¶ 7 (cited, short-closing) …
Shaped by: Bluebook format · Citation required · Short closing (M. Okafor)
Beat 2 · Sergeant QA
Every draft is checked by a second AI reviewer before it reaches you.
A second reviewer checks each draft for citation accuracy, argument structure, and exhibit references. If a check fails, the draft goes back for another pass — it is not sent to an attorney until every check passes.

3 of 4 checks passed — 1 re-check queued. Not forwarded to attorney until all clear.
Beat 3 · Commander routes
Routine work just happens. Decisions find the right person — where they already work.
The commander filters the output stream. Routine completions are handled silently. Decisions are routed to the right person on whichever surface they actually use — a Telegram message to the partner, an email to the attorney, a dashboard item to the associate. Nobody has to log into something new.
Your MSJ and the Nguyen deposition overlap on Oct 14. One needs to move — your call.
Approve engagement scope — Vasquez matter
Arachne drafted a scope memo. Needs T. Lin's sign-off before outreach.
Routine work just happens. Decisions find the right person on the channel they already use — phone, inbox, or dashboard. Nobody has to log in somewhere new.
Beat 4 · Firm-admin permissions
Your firm admin draws the lines. The system enforces them.
The firm admin controls what each person's agent can reach. When T. Lin's agent attempts to open the Finances folder, it's blocked: for that person's assistant, the folder simply isn't there. It isn't just hidden from view. Your data stays yours.
Firm Admin — Data Access
Your firm admin drew these lines. Associate agent: T. Lin.
T. Lin’s agent attempted to open Finances/ — blocked. It isn’t just hidden from view; for this assistant, the folder simply isn’t there.
Your data stays yours
The right work, the right person.
On your infrastructure.
Arachne connects to your email, calendar, documents, and matter management — building a queryable database of your practice in the background, on your own infrastructure, under your firm admin's control.
